HOW ANXIETY AFFECTS THE BODY?

The Greek verb connected to word Anxiety is rendered “be anxious” which means “to have the mind distracted.”

Anxiety distracts or divides the mind, taking the joy out of life.

Anxiety can be damaging to one’s well-being. It can lead to depression, robbing one of strength and the initiative to act.

Stress affects all systems of the body including the musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, nervous, and reproductive systems.

Our bodies are well equipped to handle anxiety in small doses, but when that. becomes long-term or chronic, it can have serious effects on your body.
